8 second Viper vs GTR at Texas Speed Syndicate’s QUICK 30

After a solid 2 months of nonstop rain, God finally smiled on Texas and gave it some sunshine Sunday for Quick 30!  A variety of vehicles came out to run for the day.  KP Racing and Lethal Performance brought out a few big power corvettes for some testing. Todd Nall set a personal best in his twin turbo Porsche 996.  Even a couple old school muscle cars lined up for a 1970’s grudge race. But the highlight of the day was the final run between Andy Nelson from Oklahoma in his Gen 2 Viper built by D3 Performance Engineering, against Mark Johnson from Austin in his Super 99 GTR by AC Motorsports.  Check out this insanely close low 8 second drag race!  Expect to see both of these cars reaping the field in Caddo Mills next weekend at the Texas Invitational.
